Brooke remains undefeated in league meets by winning the XC race today at Nevada Union. She wasn't feeling well and realized that her symbicort (her inhaler for her asthma) was empty when she got there. I was on the rode heading for Nevada Union, which is about an hour away, when she called. I had an extra inhaler in my purse but realized that it was an old onewhen I to NU. At that point, Brooke was a little frustrated and said, "I just want to get this race over with!" To which I said, "Well, the faster you run, the sooner you will get the race done!" Well, she wasn't kidding when she said that she just wanted to get it over with! Even though she felt sick the whole race, she took off running like crazy, leading the whole way and was a little shocked when she found out that she took off 25 seconds from her best time that she had run on the NU course, just 1 month ago!
